Inside: Want to save more money? Check out the top things to stock up on in July and save all year long. It’s an easy way to save more money without much work.

One of my favorite (and one of the easiest!) ways to save money is by stocking up on foods when the prices are at their lowest. I can buy foods for 50-60% of the regular prices. The best part about stocking up when things are on sale is that it doesn’t take a lot of my time. Just stock up to really save money on your grocery bill.
I have been enjoying the summer here with my kiddo home from school. I love the summer weather and all the yummy fruits and veggies in season. Check out the top things to stock up on in July.
Seasonal Produce
I love all the produce we see on sale this time of year. It is a great time to really stock up on fresh fruits and veggies. We will see sales on Blueberries, Cantaloupe, Corn, Cucumbers, Garlic, Grapes, Green Beans, Kiwi, Peaches, Strawberries, Summer Squash, Tomatoes, and Watermelon.
If you like your produce fresh check out these tips to make berries last longer. I like to make my strawberry freezer jam during this time. It’s an easy way to save my family some money and we get homemade, too. If you make smoothies you can easily freeze fruits and veggies to save money.
Foods
It’s National Ice Cream Month, so there will be some fantastic sales on ice cream and ice cream novelties. Stock up your freezer with enough to last all summer long.
July is also national hot dog month. We will see so many sales on ketchup, mustard, and hot dogs. If I see a good deal on hot dogs I will buy enough to last until fall. They are great to throw on the grill as a last minute lunch. Ketchup and mustard will be the lowest you will see all year. Stock up enough to last until next summer.
With the 4th of July we will also see good deals on other picnic items like chips and iced tea. These are both items that you can stock up on without needed a bunch of room or a freezer.
Other Sales
After the 4th of July, there will be some good sales on grills and fireworks. If you need a new grill it will be the best time to buy it. Also, keep in mind you can buy fireworks and keep them until next year. It’s a great way to save money.
Although I am not at all ready to think about heading back to school yet, I am grabbing some of the deals popping up. I love getting the great school and office supplies for only pennies. You can start to pick up some back to school supplies for your kids and get any household office supplies you need too.
We should see some great prices on paper goods such as plates, napkins and other picnic items too.
I know it seems like summer just started, but summer clothes will start to go on sale later in July. You can look for good deals on summer clothes for next year. If your kids are smaller consider buying them one size up for next year when you find a really good deal.
