Top 5 Things To Buy In July

One of my favorite (and the easiest!) ways to save money is by stocking up on foods when the prices are at their lowest. I can buy foods for 50-60% of their regular prices. The best part about stocking up when things are on sale is that it doesn’t take a lot of my time. Just stock up to really save money on your grocery bill. July is a great month to stock up on foods. Fruits and veggies are in full season and we will see some great prices. Check out the top 5 things to buy in July and save.

Seasonal Produce

We will see sales on blueberries, peaches, strawberries, corn, green beans and watermelon. Stock up on the foods while you can get them at low prices. I love stocking up on strawberries and making strawberry freezer jam. When it's really hot during summer I can make a meal out of corn and watermelon. Enjoy the seasonal produce now while you can and freeze or preserve the rest.

BBQ Items

The 4th of July is always perfect grilling out time. We will see so many sales on ketchup, mustard, and hot dogs. If I see a good deal on hot dogs I will buy enough to last until fall.  They are great to throw on the grill as a last minute lunch. Ketchup and mustard will be the lowest you will see all year. Stock up enough to last until next summer.

Fireworks

We aren't usually big fireworks people. I am always stunned every year how much they cost. We don't usually buy fireworks before the 4th. I buy them after and save them back for next year. They are a lot more affordable when they are 75% off. If you are trying to save money head out to watch a public fireworks display on the 4th and pick up some clearance ones after the holidays.

Grills

If you wait until the end of July you should be able to find a good deal on grills. Before the 4th of July stores usually have their grills full price or close to full price. By the end of July stores will be ready to get rid of their inventory and you can pick up a good deal.

School & Office Supplies

Although I am not at all ready to think about heading back to school yet, I am grabbing some of the deals popping up. I love getting the great school and office supplies for only pennies. You can start to pick up some back to school supplies for your kids and get any household office supplies you need too.
