If you love to bake and are tired of clumpy, hard brown sugar this is a fantastic tip for you. In humid areas brown sugar can often get so hard it is impossible to use. Instead of throwing out the brown sugar try the best trick for keeping brown sugar soft.
Brown sugar is one of those things that we just don't use that often. So, to make sure that it doesn't get hard and clumpy over time I do a couple of things.
First I store it in a nice airtight container. I love these containers from Ikea. They are around $3 each at Ikea and work perfect for brown sugar, sugar, etc.
I also add two regular size marshmallows to the brown sugar container. Whenever I need to get some brown sugar I can just take them out and then put them back in when I am done.
You can also buy a special disc to help keep your brown sugar soft, but I have found that the marshmallows work just as well.
With just a few seconds time you will never have to deal with clumpy, hard brown sugar again. What quick kitchen tips do you have?

We prefer most things with brown sugar or honey but with hot fudge if I am really hungry or worn out.
Here is a strange question but the {experts} don't even understand why I ask it (personal reasons):
Is the acid in strong Italian dressings (with green olives, herbs such as thyme, rosemary, cumin, onions, peppers, tomatoes (of course)), is this something which helps heal or prevent inflammation? Perhaps someone out there knows.

Another one: does listening to such great music as traditional Puerto Rican Navidades music, or Martin Hayes accompanied by Dennis Cahill or Joni Mitchell, Tom Rush, Bob Dylan, Ella Fitzgerald, Katy Perry, Alicia Keyes, Eric Satie, Weather Report, Yes, Telemann, Mozart, Eric Clapton, Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings, Woody Guthrie, etc. Relax One and Aid the appetite, digestion, inner spirit, lightness?

My mom used to put a slice of apple in the box of brown sugar. We lived in a very dry climate (Colorado) and the brown sugar would get rock hard. It worked great!
