Trying to save more money? Buying products at the right time can really help you save. You can get more out of your money just by purchasing products when they are at their lowest price.
Buying while foods are in season doesn’t take a lot of time. Just stock up on foods when they are at their cheapest, so you can have them all year. Check out the best things to buy in September to really help stretch your budget.
Seasonal Produce
Apples usually go on sale in September. I love buying lots of apples to make applesauce, apple butter, and apple pie. You can also store apples for a couple of months without putting them in the fridge. You can see all the details here.
We will also see some good sales on acorn squash, butternut squash, cantaloupe, cauliflower, eggplants, green beans, mushrooms, peppers, pumpkin and sweet potatoes. It's a great time to stock up on fruits and veggies before the prices get higher in winter.
Foods
We should see lots of school lunch deals. Peanut butter, jelly, etc. Also, with Labor Day we will see grilling foods on sale. Fall foods like coffee, apple cider and k-cups will be on sale too. Plus, September is national coupon month, so if you are a couponer look for some great coupons and deals.
Other Items
We should see lots of clearance deals. There will still be some summer clearance deals on summer toys and pool toys. We should also start seeing lots of clearance deals on back to school supplies. Outdoor items like patio sets and grills should be at the best prices, too. Don't forget to restock your kitchen with items like tupperware and lunch boxes with the back to school deals.
Buying items when they are at their lowest can really help you stretch your budget without adding much time or complexity. What do you like to stock up on in September?

We definitely stock up on apples in September. Our local orchard has great pick-your-own prices. I love making crock pot applesauce and storing it for later!
